The official wiki page has been down for a number of weeks now. While the MCBans Staff are working on restoring the page I thought it could be helpful to have a copy of the rules here on the forums. That way you can easily link your staff a copy of the rules.
This copy was made on May 21st 2018 from the TOS page; be aware that rules might have changed since then.

Requirements for Global Bans
Requirements for Global Bans
- Bans made on the MCBans Service can be one of three types: Global, Local, and Temporary. These regulations apply ONLY to the Global ban type, as these are the only bans submitted to the MCBans Service which impact a player's reputation on the service.
- Global Bans are considered valid only if made for the prescribed set of reasons that follows, subject to the stipulations therein described.
- Griefing
- An act which removes, edits, or adds to another player's build (harmful contact), if done with malicious intent and without the consent of that player, constitutes griefing.
- Privileged contact (i.e. non-malicious intent or consent) must be shown by the banned player if the harmful contact is demonstrated.
- The baseline requirement for upholding a griefing ban is that at least three (3) individual edits must be committed.
- If a player has creative mode enabled, five (5) individual edits must be committed to uphold a ban of this nature.
- Griefing a honeypot
- Automated bans may be issued if a player griefs a "honeypot" grief trap.
- Honeypot blocks may not be "one-hit" blocks, or blocks that can be destroyed through a single click.
- Honeypot bans must be issued in accordance with the above guidelines for griefing.
- Honeypots may not invite a player to grief that structure.
- Honeypot bans must be issued with a link or fixed reference to the honeypot log in the reason of the ban itself.
- Theft
- A player who takes another player's possessions, if done with malicious intent and without the consent of that player, may be banned globally for theft.
- Privileged contact (i.e. non-malicious intent or consent) must be shown by the banned player if the harmful contact is demonstrated.
- Network Denial of Service
- Any player who actuates a Denial-of-Service attack on a Server has constituted a Network Denial of Service offense, if done without the consent of that server.
- Threats to carry out the above offense are not by themselves a Global Ban valid offense.
- Server agents who feel under threat or compulsion of the above offense should examine the Internet Crime Complaints Center of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. MCBans is not a law enforcement agency and cannot investigate these offenses. (www.ic3.gov).
- In-Game Denial of Service
- A player who, with malicious intent and without the consent of the server, creates or modifies a build so as to substantially degrade or deny service within or to that Server may be banned globally for In-Game Denial of Service.
- Threats to carry out the above offense are not by themselves a Global Ban valid offense.
- Examples of the above offense include, but are not limited to, redstone creations with no or limited use other than overloading the processing of actions in that chunk, world, or server.
- Spambot
- A player who uses automation to spam, or repeatedly state in game chat, a message or group of messages, may be banned for this reason.
- Use of client-side modification to cheat or degrade service
- A player who uses client-side modifications to substantially cheat or to degrade service to or within a server may be globally banned for this reason.
- Bans entered for this reason must state the specific modification used (such as "wallhack" or "flyhack") to be upheld as valid Global Ban reasons.
- Incidental or negligible incidents under this provision will be localized without penalty to the server, unless done with abusive intent or repeated failure to heed warnings relating to this subsection.
- Use of X-Ray modifications to cheat or degrade service
- A player who uses client-side engine or texture modifications to cheat or degrade service to or within a server by seeing through otherwise-solid textures may be globally banned for this reason.
- Incidental or negligible incidents under this provision will be localized without penalty to the server, unless done with abusive intent or repeated failure to heed warnings relating to this subsection.
- Racism against a player or group
- If racist language or action is directed at a player in a manner which is clearly abusive in public chat or game forum, the offending player may be globally banned for this reason.
- If racist language or action is directed at a player in a manner which is clearly abusive in private chat or game forum AND the aggrieved player complains or reports the language or action, the offending player may be globally banned for this reason.
- Construction of National Socialist (NSDAP/Nazi) symbols with the intent of harassment or vandalism
- If a player constructs a clear symbol of the NSDAP ("Nazi Party"), the player may be banned globally, subject to the following restrictions, for this reason.
- If the construction is made with convincing historical intent, a global ban may not be issued.
- If the construction is made with convincing innocence, a global ban may not be issued. Examples of convincing innocence would include incidental construction of a swastika on a windmill.
- Homophobia against a player or group
- If homophobic language or action is directed at a player in a manner which is clearly abusive in public chat or game forum, the offending player may be globally banned for this reason.
- If homophobic language or action is directed at a player in a manner which is clearly abusive in private chat or game forum AND the aggrieved player complains or reports the language or action, the offending player may be globally banned for this reason.
- Sexism against a player or group
- If sexist language or action is directed at a player in a manner which is clearly abusive in public chat or game forum, the offending player may be globally banned for this reason.
- If sexist language or action is directed at a player in a manner which is clearly abusive in private chat or game forum AND the aggrieved player complains or reports the language or action, the offending player may be globally banned for this reason.
- Providing access to pornographic, shock, malicious, technologically compromised, or illegal material with malicious intent
- Examples of invalid Global Ban reasons include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Harassment
- Spamming (simply spamming is not a Global Ban infraction; automation of some sort, or spambotting, is required)
- Too many alternate accounts
- Griefing team (alleging that a person is a member of a griefing team is not an acceptable reason; the act of griefing itself, however, is valid)
- Impersonation of MCBans staff (this should be reported to a member of MCBans staff instead)
- Impersonation of other staff
- Advertising
- Threats
- Builds containing genitalia (this act by itself is too subjective to justify adjudication)
